IS SWEDEN BORING?
It depends who you ask since everyone thinks differently but overall Swedes are more reserved then other countries if you exclude perhaps the other Nordic countries including Greenland
The picture above is just one example but tons of pictures like that can be found HERE and HERE
As others have described it
"they all dress the exactly the same, you have to pour a beer or ten down their throat to get to know them etc
I will NEVER be like the Swedes, despite being born here. I will always chat to strangers in line at the grocery store, I will drink two or three glasses of wine on a weeknight goddamnit and I sure as hell will bring up politics during our work fika break"
SOURCE
"Just moving from Denmark, where nothing works to Sweden, where everything works was a big cultural transition for me. What I sometime miss...is that people can get so isolated that they shun social contact with everyone. Also many of these countries can be so regulated that they really quash all form of creativity and initiative from individual citizens."

You live life with the same friends from school and for the most part never make new friends an adult
If you are an expat/immigrant in Sweden you will mostly only have non-native Swedes as friends
Sweden is also very segregated where for the most part Swedes and immigrants will never meet and become friends because Swedes are not very open to new cultures
A good example would be that back in 2015 loads of immigrants came to Sweden and the left in particular were screaming to let them come
Once they were here the left helped them at the train station with food and more for a few weeks but then gave up because they were so many
Some leftist would rent empty buildings and let the immigrants live at those places but when the government asked people if they could take the immigrants with them (let the immigrants live with them but the government pays) most said no because that would infringe personal space
Swedes will help but as soon as it infringes on their personal space they suddenly get very cold
Swedes can be very friendly and do help people on the street if they ask but do not expect to become real friends with Swedes
Many foreigners (non-native Swedes) look at Swedes as being good looking but boring people who don`t really stand up for themselves and still believe Sweden is the greatest country on Earth yet really don`t know anything about the world
As a Swede actually living here most of it is sadly true
-Swedes will put bags on the seat next to them when on the bus or train so strangers wont sit next to them
-Many Swedes when walking outside will wear headphones so they don't have to speak to strangers
-Swedes hate conflicts so instead of talking about politics they love to complain about the weather that is cold and raining more then half of the year
-You can live 40+ years and never know your neighbors
-You cannot just start talking to a stranger without any purpose and invite him/her to coffee or dinner.
It is considered weird and in some cases a violation of personal space
-Swedes care what random strangers think of them on the street so if many people stare at them they get
uncomfortable
Sweden for the most part has always been a high standard of living country meaning that most things work
This means that you do not really need to rely on other people and therefor don`t get that close connection with strangers that you perhaps would in poorer countries
Sweden even has LAGOM and JANTELAGEN for a reason
"they all dress the exactly the same, you have to pour a beer or ten down their throat to get to know them etc

Sweden even has LAGOM and JANTELAGEN for a reason
Why Swedes are like this can be because of many reasons
-It is cold and raining over 6 month a year so people don't feel like going outside and bad weather for long time can affect your mental health
We have a joke here that Sweden has very nice indoor culture
You go from building A to building B to enjoy whatever (restaurant, bar, concert, work, school...)
This means that when people do go outside the 8+ cold month a year they quickly want to get to whatever destination they are going to usually found inside some building where its warm
-Everything is very expensive with 25% VAT so people do not really afford to do loads of fun things
A beer at a random bar will cost you over $5
ARE SWEDES REALLY THAT BAD?
Its called stereotypes but they exist for a reason
Every person is different but overall they are like this just as the average American don`t know much about the world but are very open, friendly and social
One good thing is that according to Wikipedia 94% of people in Sweden has internet so a good way to try and meet Swedes if you live here would be online

CONCLUSION
Are Swedes really boring?, Is it just the older generation that are boring?, Maybe you like the way the Swedes are?, Only boring in the cold winter month?...
Whatever you might think it`s another thing to add to your so called list when figuring out what to make of Sweden
